Examining specific case studies of companies in the service or manufacturing sector may be helpful. After conducting this search, attempt to identify strategic barriers to the successful implementation of total quality management. As you identify these barriers, be sure to ask yourself how the various departments, outside suppliers, or subsystems play a part in implementing TQM.
